In a special CLP all members meeting, West Ham Labour nominated Rebecca Long Bailey for the Labour leadership and Dawn Butler for deputy leader

Over 100 local labour party members spent a sunny Saturday afternoon in Impressions Events venue debating the merits of the different candidates.
Rebecca Long Bailey won 57 votes to beat Keir Starmer who was second on 52 votes.
Dawn Butler ,who grew up in West Ham and used to sit on our EC, won 58 votes to beat Richard Burgon who came second with 45
Nominations were also taken for two NEC positions and were won by Jo Bird and Graham Durham, we also nominated our vice chair Mehmood Mirza to be the BAME representative on the NEC.
Once all the nominations are in ,all members ,affiliates and supporters will get to vote for the candidates from 24th Feb until it closes on 2nd April ….details here
